PURPOSE: This ordinance is part of the County’s annual county-initiated comprehensive plan amendment process authorized by RCW 36.70A.130 and by Snohomish County Code (SCC) 30.73.085.

 

BACKGROUND: County-initiated comprehensive plan amendments are processed in accordance with chapter 30.73 Snohomish County Code (SCC). These 2026 County-initiated comprehensive plan amendments are proposed by Planning and Development Services (PDS). These amendments are proposed to the Population and Employment Element, the Housing Element, the Land Use Element, and Appendix C - Housing Element Housing Needs Analysis.
