PURPOSE: To appoint a new representative to the Park Advisory Board
BACKGROUND: The Parks Advisory Board was established through SCC 2.16.030 “to assist the Director of Parks and Recreation in reviewing and recommending policies relating to parks, playgrounds or other recreational facilities.” The Board consists of five Council district representatives and six at-large representatives, with each member serving up to three terms of four years each. The appointment is supported by Parks & Recreation Director Sharon Swan and recommended by County Executive Dave Somers.
