PURPOSE: To be allowed to quiet title to piece of property maintained by Snohomish County for over 30 years
BACKGROUND: The property in question (approximately 3,500 square feet) has been fenced in and maintained by Snohomish County since 1989 as part of the Snohomish Terraces property (aka Snohomish Maintenance Shop) located at 1201 Bonneville Avenue, Snohomish, WA 98290. The parcel to be quieted is a remnant piece created by omission from legal descriptions for the adjoining property where ownership was last established by EC Ferguson and LG Ferguson in 1901, and thereafter title in a small sliver was taken in the name of the State of Washington. The Snohomish County Public Works and Department of Facilities and Fleet, Property Management Division recommend the quiet title action as this remnant piece was always presumed to be part of the Snohomish Terraces property as the fencing and maintenance of the piece would indicate.
