PURPOSE: To fill the positions on the Citizens’ Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials that will convene in 2026.

 

BACKGROUND: Seth Newsome is a valued colleague and contributor to staff and throughout the community. Seth currently serves on the Snohomish County Workforce Alliance and is Organizer at LiUNA Local 292. The Citizens’ Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials is comprised of ten members: one from each Council District, drawn by lot from the pool of registered voters; one at-large, drawn by lot from pool of registered voters: four nominated by the Executive representing (a) business, (b) legal, (c) organized labor, and (d) professional personnel management.  Commissioners may serve two 2-year terms. This would be Seth’s first appointment to the Citizens’ Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials.
