PURPOSE: Snohomish County, acting through its Health Department, needs access to the Washington State Department of Health Collective Medical Technologies (CMT) clinical care collaboration network portal.
BACKGROUND: The Department of Health CMT portal identifies carbapenemase producing organism (CPO) cases and Candida auris (C. auris) cases. By quickly sharing information about CPO and C. auris cases, the County Health Department can limit transmission of these highly resistant organisms and thereby protect public health. Granting County Health Department investigator rights to see these cases will allow for more effective case investigations through the healthcare continuum and across public health jurisdiction lines. The County, acting through the Health Department, and the State of Washington have executed numerous data sharing agreements, and this data sharing agreement does not represent a new program.
