DEPARTMENT:  Facilities and Fleet, Division of Property Management

ORIGINATOR:  Carl Jorgensen

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved by Ken Klein 9/24/25

PURPOSE: To sell property known as Kidling Pit

BACKGROUND: Snohomish County acquired approximately 10 acres of land now known as the Kidling Pit, in the vicinity of the City of Sultan, in two separate deeds on January 16, 1928, and October 20, 1938, for the primary purpose of stockpiling materials for use in road repairs and maintenance activities and for the storing of related equipment. Under Motion 98-103 and Amended Motion 00-109 Council approved the surplus and the sale of the property. The use of the property is no longer needed for the purposes intended. The custodial department for the property, Public Works, now intends to place the property on the open market for sale.
