Ordinance 23-109, relating to the 2023 Budget; making an emergency appropriation in Equipment Rental and Revolving Fund 502 to provide expenditure authority for vehicles and equipment

PURPOSE: To make an emergency appropriation in ER&R fund to provide additional expenditure authority for new vehicles and equipment as listed in the attached Exhibit A
BACKGROUND: The supply chain interruptions and delays since COVID have made delivery of critical County assets unpredictable, some as much as a three-year delay. In 2023, supply chain delays are beginning to ease up, and a large backlog of long delayed vehicles and equipment is now being delivered, which could not have been reasonably foreseen prior to the adoption of the 2023 budget.
