EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: N/A
PURPOSE: To issue a Notice to Proceed to the County Performance Auditor to complete an audit of the efficiency and effectiveness of the staff structures of the Executive Office and Council Office.
BACKGROUND: The 2024 Budget included $85,000 in audit and audit related expenses. The Performance Auditor, in consultation with the Performance Audit Committee, submitted the 2024 Audit and Audit Plan Memorandum on December 31, 2023. That plan was approved by Council on January 16, 2024 by Motion 24-015. At the same time, Council directed staff to prepare a Notice to Proceed on a proposed Audit of the efficiency and effectiveness of the staff structures of the Executive Office and Council Office. The budget included in the Scope of Work is $75,000.
