PURPOSE: Approval of Cooperative Purchasing Agreement for Legacy Telecommunication, LLC
BACKGROUND: Public Works Solid Waste division operates eight (8) facilities throughout Snohomish County including transfer stations, treatment facilities, flare facilities, storage yards and drop boxes. Seven of the eight facilities are equipped with an emergency generator (3 at the Cathcart site) to maintain continuity of service in the event of a power outage. Solid Waste requires generator repair and maintenance services to keep their generators in good working condition. Through Motion No. 26-126 Council approved a Piggyback Award Recommendation to use DES agreement #06225 with Legacy Telecommunications LLC for Generator Maintenance, Repair and Parts Service. Additionally, the approved award recommendation authorizes the County Executive or designee to execute amendment, and subsequent amendments for these services. A Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with Legacy Telecommunications LLC has been negotiated. Solid Waste anticipates this contract to run through December 31, 2029 unless extended by DES with a maximum spend of $126,000.
