PURPOSE: Approve grant agreement with WSDA for improvements to the Evergreen State Fairgrounds
BACKGROUND: The Washington State Department of Agriculture awarded a grant to the County to undertake a capital improvement project to make health or safety improvements to agricultural fairgrounds or fair facilities to benefit participants and the fair-going public pursuant to RCW 15.76.165. Grant Agreement No. K5410 in the amount of $49,150, with required matching funds from the County of $49,150 for a total project cost of $98,300 will be used for replacing bathroom partitions and plumbing fixtures that are rusty and completely worn out in buildings 401 and 510, which are the most highly used restrooms year round.
