PURPOSE: Approval of the 2021 collective bargaining agreement between Snohomish County and the Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Local 1811-PA.
BACKGROUND: This is a one (1) year agreement with the Washington State Council of County and City Employees, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Local 1811-PA effective January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. The agreement calls for a 1.0% cost of living increase effective April 1, 2021. In addition, the agreement includes some minor language housekeeping and clarification regarding Washington State Paid Family Medical Leave. The agreement further provides for a targeted timeline for future negotiations. This agreement supersedes the agreement that expired December 31, 2020 and covers approximately 65 employees.
