PURPOSE: Private Security for the annual Evergreen State Fair
BACKGROUND: Under a mutual understanding and agreement with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department, private security services are being contracted to provide quality security services for the buildings, grounds and gates, assist with security during the Grandstand Concerts and Rodeo Series and provide bag checks at all the fair entrance points along with overnight security. Private security works under the direction of the Fairgrounds Manager, but has direct contact with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department in case of emergencies. Private security has been used to augment Sheriff’s Security in these areas since 2003. Kaeka Group Protective Services was selected from a competitive bid process. Their expertise and service to events similar to the Evergreen State Fair was well documented.
