PURPOSE: Task Assignment No.3 (TA#3) will allow Equinox Research and Consulting International, Inc. to provide archaeological monitoring at the Meadowdale County Park Estuary Reconstruction during scheduled absence of the County staff archaeologist, to keep a continuous work schedule flowing throughout tight fish window period.
BACKGROUND: The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Cultural Resources Division used the on-call process to interview three cultural resources firms to provide on-call archaeological monitoring. Professional archaeological monitoring is required by the Army Corps of Engineers permit for Meadowdale Beach Park Estuary Reconstruction. On-call monitoring is needed for scheduled absences of the County staff archaeologist. Equinox Research and Consulting International, Inc. has extensive experience identifying archaeological resources in similar environments to the Meadowdale Beach Park & Estuary Reconstruction. They also possess the staff and the expertise, staff and equipment to ensure identification and accuracy of recordation of archaeological resources. A formal Task Assignment Agreement TA#3 was negotiated between Snohomish County and Equinox Research and Consulting International, Inc. Total payments for services under this agreement shall not exceed the amount of $34,850.44.
