PURPOSE: Approve Change Order No. 5
BACKGROUND: Change Order No. 5 in the amount of $312,887.82 ($283,156.40 plus 10.5% sales tax) and an additional twenty-eight (28) calendar days to the contract completion date and incorporates work as described in Change Order Proposal No. 10 which includes demolition of the existing picnic shelter, Change Order Proposal No. 11 which includes rework of a portion of the estuary constructed during the 2021 construction season, Change Order Proposal No. 12 which includes temporary site stabilization of the estuary and site to allow public use of the site during the shutdown of the site between construction seasons, and Change Order Proposal No. 13 which includes the cost difference for the BNSF crossing permit installed by BNSF in lieu of contract documents.
