PURPOSE: Approve affiliation agreement between Snohomish County, through its Health Department, and University of Washington Bothell School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics to place student interns.
BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Council passed Ordinance No. 24-002 approving a form agreement to be used with any such school desiring to enter into an affiliation agreement with the Snohomish County Health Department on February 21, 2024. The Snohomish County Health Department recognizes that internships provide the student with practical experiences in health-related, safety, and emergency management settings under appropriate supervision and gives students the chance to explore public health as a potential career path.
