PURPOSE: Approve Monthly Program Update Report
BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Early Head Start (SCEHS) program requests that the Council receive and approve the SCEHS Monthly Program Update Report for the period January 2024 through May 2024.
The Head Start Act, Section 642(d)(2) states that, “Each Head Start agency shall ensure the sharing of accurate and regular information for use by the governing body and the policy council, about program planning, policies, and Head Start agency operations…” SCEHS is responsible to provide accurate program updates to the Snohomish County Council, which in its role as governing body, maintains legal and fiscal oversight of the program.
The attached report provides the County Council, governing body, information on program services and operations for the period January - May 2024. In the future, SCEHS will submit a monthly Program Update Report to the County Council for acceptance.
