PURPOSE: Council approval of an Ordinance to grant vacation of public road right-of-way (ROW)
BACKGROUND: On May 9, 2022, St. Andrews 1, LLC (the Petitioner) applied to Snohomish County Planning and Development Services (PDS), requesting approval of a 94 - lot rural cluster subdivision (RCS) called Caledon Plat The subject properties are located at 13820, 14031, and 14127, 132nd St NE, Arlington, outside the urban growth area (UGA) and in Section 4, Township 30 North, Range 6 East W.M. As a condition of development approval, the Department of Public Works (DPW) and PDS are requiring the Petitioner to vacate a portion of a County Road ROW identified as 132nd St NE. On July 26, 2023, the Petitioner submitted a petition to Snohomish County proposing to vacate a portion of 132nd St NE. See Engineer’s Report for additional facts, background, and conditions.
