PURPOSE: Confirming the nomination of Joshua Marcy as the Snohomish County Airport Director.
BACKGROUND: .
• After the completion of a nationwide search, County Executive Dave Sommers has selected Joshua Marcy as the Snohomish County Airport Director at Paine Field.
• Marcy has served as the Interim Director since the departure of Arif Ghouse in February 2022. With over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, he has been with Paine Field since May 2021 and previously served as a Deputy Director.
• Prior to Paine Field, Marcy was the Manager of Terminal Operations at the Port of Seattle (Sea-Tac). He has also served at airports in Austin, Georgetown, and Memphis.
• Marcy earned a B.S. in Aviation Management from Utah Valley University and an M.S. in Aviation and Aerospace Management from Purdue University. He also completed many industry certifications such as the AAAE Certified Member (2018) and the AAAE Accredited Airport Executive (2022), putting him in a small and elite group of airport leaders.
