ITEM TITLE:
Title
Ordinance 23-092, approving and authorizing the Snohomish County Executive to sign an interlocal agreement for overlay improvements within Silver Lake Water and Sewer District
body
DEPARTMENT: Public Works

ORIGINATOR: Lori Ericsson

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Ken Klein 9/1/23

PURPOSE: Approval of the Interlocal Agreement for Overlay Improvements within Silver Lake Water and Sewer District.

BACKGROUND: The County received federal NHS funding to overlay 132nd/134th/Cathcart Way from Seattle Hill Road to SR9. Silver Lake Water and Sewer District performed sewer line upgrades prior to the overlay which would have required a full width overlay. The County and Silver Lake Water and Sewer District agree that it is mutually beneficial for the County and District to work together cooperatively to complete a single overlay of the affected area. The County and Silver Lake Water and Sewer District have negotiated an ILA for Overlay services. This agreement is entered into under the regulatory authority of the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 39.34.
