PURPOSE: Executive signature on amended Cooperative Agreement between Snohomish County and the USDA Forest Service for 2024.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County and the US Forest Service have had a contractual signed relationship for the provision of law enforcement services in place since 1988. US Forest Rangers have limited law enforcement authority as it relates to Federal Law and no authority as it relates to Washington State Law. Amending the original amount in the amount of $20,944 of the agreement to include an additional $31,416 in previously unused funding for a total of $52,360 in 2024.
