PURPOSE: Appointing Karl Niemela to the Planning Commission as a District 5 representative.
BACKGROUND: Planning Commissioners are volunteers appointed by the County Council. They serve four-year terms and can be reappointed for up to three full terms. A vacancy representing District 5 exists. Councilmember Low is nominating Karl Niemela to a partial first term which will expire on July 1, 2026.
