PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval of the new Exhibit A-1 for Snohomish County Facilities On-Call contracts adjusting the estimated amounts for the individual disciplines.

BACKGROUND: This request is to expedite the approval of Exhibit A-1 to the Snohomish County Facilities On-Call contract changing the amounts for the individual disciplines. Much of this request is due to unanticipated, emergent needs. Such as additional building envelope services needed to evaluate, engineer, and oversee renovations of exterior conditions on buildings purchased by the County after the on-call agreements were initiated. Some of this need may be due to overlapping scope. Such as having minor adjustments to fire protection / life safety systems engineered by the electrical engineer when the larger scope of work on the project is electrical engineering. Some of this need may be due to contracts not being awarded from some disciplines which overlap with other disciplines. Such as sustainability / energy (LEED) scopes of work being assigned to architects, electrical engineers, or mechanical engineers who are LEED accredited professionals and well qualified to perform the work. The Motion is intended to adjust the estimated amounts for each discipline based on the realized needs to date. The combined umbrella amount payable not to exceed $13,750,000 across all disciplines over the time of the agreements will remain.
