PURPOSE: To obtain the Council's approval of a motion authorizing the Executive to sign Amendment 1 to the Agreement for Professional Services between the County and Purpose.Dignity.Action. (PDA) (f/k/a Public Defender Association). PDA provides administrative services for the implementation of the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) Program and the Recovery Navigator Program (RNP).
BACKGROUND: The Prosecuting Attorney's Office (PAO) manages three grants that support the implementation of the LEAD Program and RNP. The funds from two of these grants - one from the Washington State Health Care Association (HCA), and the other from the North Sound Behavioral Health - Administrative Services Organization (NS BH-ASO) - are used to reimburse PDA for the administrative services it provides to the LEAD Program Director, RNP Coordinator, and LEAD and RNP Program Assistant. This Amendment to the Agreement with PDA extends the term to June 30, 2026, and increases the NTE amount to $518,000.00.
