PURPOSE: PDS requests Council authority to utilize the Snohomish County Public Works On-Call Contract for engineering services.
BACKGROUND: PDS has determined the need for consultant services on an on-call as-needed basis for review of stormwater site plans and reports submitted by applicants for land development permit applications. The purpose of these reviews is to determine the applicant’s compliance with the Snohomish County Drainage Manual and the Engineering Design and Development Standards, which is required before a land development permit may be issued. The additional expense for consulting services will be offset by salary savings (from three vacant engineering positions) in Fund 193 Permitting.
