PURPOSE: To obtain Executive approval of Contract for campus Administration Buildings Energy Audits
BACKGROUND: In 2024, the Washington State Department of Commerce (COM) introduced the Energy Audit Incentive Program for Public Buildings which provides reimbursable payments for energy audits completed July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025 on Tier 1 buildings. Facilities applied for this program for the Administration Buildings, Courthouse Building, and Denney Juvenile Justice Center. The application was reviewed by COM and approved in December of 2024. The attached agreement allows Snohomish County Facilities to receive $138,575.19 for the main campus Administration buildings. Energy audits for the Courthouse and the Denney Juvenile Justice Center will also need approvals and will be submitted on separate ECAFs for a total dollar amount of $285,743.53. This request is Urgent in order to meet the program deadlines of completion for full reimbursement.
