PURPOSE: To approve professional Services Agreement with AmTest Inc for Water and Sediment Laboratory Testing and Analysis.
BACKGROUND: The testing and health of Snohomish County streams is used for compliance with the County’s National Pollution Discharge Elimination System Municipal Stormwater Permit (NPDES). The County has determined a need for the specialized skills of a laboratory to complete water and sediment laboratory testing and analysis. Results from testing will also be used in the implementation of several programs including Water Quality Compliant Investigations, Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination, and State of our Waters.
