PURPOSE: To appoint a new representative to the Park Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The Parks Advisory Board was established through SCC 2.16.030 “to assist the Director of Parks and Recreation in reviewing and recommending policies relating to parks, playgrounds or other recreational facilities.” The Board consists of five Council district representatives six at-large representatives, with each member serving up to three terms of four years each. The appointment is supported by Parks & Recreation Director Sharon Walker and recommended by County Executive Dave Somers.
