PURPOSE: Motion confirming the appointment of Marine Resources Advisory Committee Member to serve their first 3-year term. Snohomish County citizen recommended for appointment is Ms. Anya Voloshin representing the Stillaguamish Tribe and district #1.
BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Marine Resources Advisory Committee (MRC) is authorized by Snohomish County Code Chapter 2.800.020 to advise the County Council and Executive on marine issues.
The thirteen-member committee represents diverse interests including local governments, tribes, economic, environmental and conservation interests.
Ms. Voloshin, who represents the Stillaguamish Tribe and Snohomish County District #1, requests to be appointed to a first full term under Position #10. This term expires December 31, 2028.
