PURPOSE: Transmit a presentation to Council that provides an update on the County’s surface water utility service charges, as required by County Code.
BACKGROUND: In 2019, Council adopted changes to the current rates in Title 25 for the County’s surface water utility service charges. At that time, the following requirement was added to SCC 25.20.020(3): “On or before the end of the second quarter of 2024 and at least every five years thereafter, the director shall provide to the county council a recommendation for future annual service charges with supporting analyses and documentation.” In response to that requirement, the Surface Water Management division is transmitting a presentation to Council that provides an update on the County’s surface water utility service charges.
