PURPOSE: Authorize the approval of an agreement with Lexipol, LLC
BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s Office maintains two policy and procedure manuals-one for the law enforcement bureau and one for the corrections bureau-each containing 30 chapters, along with general orders and standard operating procedures. LEXIPOL, LLC continually researches laws and court cases to support ongoing updates to these manuals. In accordance with SCC 3.04.180 (11), the program and services provided are limited to a single source of supply through Lexipol, LLC, the sole authorized distributor in the United States. Sole Source SS-24-001JM was processed and posted by the Purchasing Division. The Purchasing Division approved Lexipol as a sole source provider. The Sheriff’s Office is requesting a three-year contract to subscribe to this service agreement.
