PURPOSE: For Council approval to appoint a new representative, Chase Walker, to the Parks Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The Parks Advisory Board was established through SCC 2.16.030 ““to assist the Director of Parks and Recreation in reviewing and recommending policies relating to parks, playgrounds or other recreational facilities.” Grant Harrington resigned during his term as Board Member At-Large and Chase Walker has been nominated for the position. The appointment is supported by the County Executive and Parks & Recreation Director Sharon Walker.
