PURPOSE: Appoint Taryn Toevs to the Snohomish County Human Rights Commission (SCHRC) to represent District 5.
BACKGROUND: Executive Dave Somers recommends the appointment of Taryn Toevs to the Snohomish County Human Rights Commission to serve as the representative for District 5. Per SCC 2.460.040, the SCHRC is comprised of nine members. Of the nine members on the Commission, one represents the County Executive, one represents the law enforcement community after consultation with the County Sheriff, five represent the County Council districts following consultation with each County Council member, and there are two at-large members. The terms of commissioners is limited to three consecutive three-year terms.
