PURPOSE: To confirm the appointment of Linda Redmon to the Housing Authority of Snohomish County (HASCO) Board of Commissioners.

BACKGROUND: The Board of Commissioners is a citizen governing body which provides guidance to the Housing Authority of Snohomish County.

Linda Redmon has expressed an interest in utilizing her experience serving her community. While in the PTA, Ms. Redmon worked to include children who were living in precarious housing situations, that experience led to her serving on the East County Board of Housing Hope. Now as Mayor of the City of Snohomish, she wants to ensure small cities can provide needed housing. Ms. Redmon serves on local boards, has knowledge of, and experience in outreach, public engagement and would like to serve on HASCO's Board of Commissioners to help be a part of HASCO's vision and future.

? Ms. Redmon resides in Council District 5 and is currently employed as the Mayor of the City of Snohomish, and at Redmon Psychological Services, Inc., as Office Manager.

? Ms. Redmon has more than 30 years of experience serving community needs, both professionally locally, and in California, personally by serving on numerous boards and committees, and volunteering throughout the community.

? Ms. Redmon's appointment is supported by the other members of the Board as well as the County Executive.

? Once confirmed, Ms. Redmon will serve her first five-year term expiring May 5, 2030.

? Ms. Redmon currently serves as Chair of the Democratic Advisory Board and is the City of Snohomish representative for the Alliance of Housing Affordability (AHA) and has served on many other boards and committees throughout her career....
