PURPOSE: To provide expenditure authority in Fund 130 for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in 2021
BACKGROUND: On March 10, 2021, the United States Congress passed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (“ARPA”), providing direct relief to units of local government through the United States Department of Treasury. A supplemental appropriation in the amount of $76,702,064 is necessary in the Grant Control Fund 130 for budget year 2021 to provide expenditure authority for direct aid provided to Snohomish County from the United States Department of Treasury pursuant to Section 9901 of ARPA.
