PURPOSE: To develop an acceleration lane from 148th ST SE onto SR 9

 

BACKGROUND: This Property is part of the Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) for SR 9 Transportation Planning Coordination and Cooperation between Snohomish County and the Department of Transportation of the State of Washington (WSDOT), dated May 20, 2015. For safety reasons pertaining to the access from 148th Street SE onto State Route 9, this strip of land became necessary to be obtained by WSDOT to develop an acceleration lane along the west margin of State Route 9 heading south.
