PURPOSE: Authorize the lodging-tax Hotel-Motel Committee’s recommended project funding award amounts for the 2026 Local Hotel/Motel Fund Round 2, these expenses are not to exceed $297,024. This funding will be used to support the eighteen (18) projects recommended by the Committee, and each project has a specific final funding recommendation.
BACKGROUND: On an annual basis, the Snohomish County Council approves the Local Hotel/Motel Fund Grants Expenditure Plan, which includes this Round 2 for 2026 funding eighteen (18) projects at the levels recommended by the Snohomish County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). The attached motion (M-26-000) specifically identifies each applicant and their recommended funding level and is within the Executive’s authority to execute without further Council involvement as a result of its approval per Motion 25-006. This agreement uses a boilerplate format that has been developed with, and reviewed by, both Prosecuting Attorney and Risk Management staff
