PURPOSE: Motion for Council to approve the Executive to sign a Professional Services Agreement with Timber Framers Guild Inc. for the Kayak Point Timber Framed Picnic Shelters
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County is renovating the day-use portion of Kayak Point Park. The new design will provide additional recreation space, move parking away from the shoreline, improve the boat launch, and make habitat improvements. As part of implementing these changes, park infrastructure will be replaced, and the park will be positioned for many more years of enjoyment. This contract will add 3 new picnic shelters to the park and be constructed in the timber frame style that is consistent and beloved in our Snohomish County parks.
