PURPOSE: To recommend the re-appointment of Gay-Lynn Beighton to the North Sound Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The North Sound Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization (NSBHASO) Advisory Board currently has 2 (two) Snohomish County vacancies. The NSBHASO Advisory Board advocates for the interests of individuals with mental health issues and substance use disorder, and provides recommendations to the NSBHASO Board of Directors, consisting of elected officials from Island, San Juan, Skagit, Whatcom, and Snohomish Counties. The Advisory Board is comprised of twenty-six (26) members, nine (9) from Snohomish County.
Gay-Lynn Beighton has been on the NSBHASO for one three-year term and brings an immense level of experience advocating for behavioral health services within Snohomish County. Gay-Lynn Beighton's current term expires 10/07/2026 and she wishes to renew and serve an additional term which would expire on 10/7/2029. Gay-Lynn Beighton does not serve on any other Snohomish County boards or commissions.
