PURPOSE: Approval of this Right-of-Way (ROW) plan will allow the ROW acquisition phase for the 18th Ave W Sidewalk project.
BACKGROUND: 18th Ave W between 151st St SW & Jefferson Way has no sidewalks on either side and is on the walking path to Oak Heights Elementary. 18th Ave W is listed in the Annual Construction Program (ACP) as item C.00.78. The proposed improvements will add curb, gutter, planter, and sidewalk to create a continuous, accessible pedestrian route. Construction of the project will require right-of-way acquisition from one parcel. Estimates for ROW acquisition are based upon a True Cost Estimate. The project is currently funded through County Road Funds. The project is located in Council District #3.
