PURPOSE: This letter is needed to release the funds for post-closure activities required by the Go East landfill closure plan.
BACKGROUND: A security bond was obtained in 2022 in accordance with WAC 173-350-600 Financial Assurance Requirements to ensure adequate funds are available for the care of the closed landfill located at 4330 108th St SE, Everett, WA 98208. The Health Department has determined that this security funding is no longer needed as it has been replaced by another bond in the same amount. Documentation confirming this second bond has already been provided to Health Department staff.
