PURPOSE: To obtain the Council's approval of, and the Executive's signature on, Amendment No. 4 to an Agreement for Professional Services with the Purpose.Dignity.Action f/k/a/ Public Defenders Association (PDA) for the addition of a full-time LEAD and RNP Program Assistant.
BACKGROUND: The Prosecuting Attorney's Office (PAO) administers three grants for the implementation of the County's Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion Program (LEAD) and Recovery Navigator Program (RNP). A large portion of the grant funds passes through the PAO to the PDA, which provides administrative support for the program staff. Due to the growth and consequent administrative complexity of these two, parallel, overlapping programs, Amendment No. 4 adjusts the scope of services and compensation sections given the hiring of a full-time LEAD and RNP Program Assistant to improve the delivery of services to program participants, from July 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023, which will, by so doing, increases the contract maximum reimbursable limit.
