PURPOSE: Council approval of a revised parking rate structure effective July 1, 2021
BACKGROUND: Facilities & Fleet, Parking Management Division, has developed a program for two (2) employees who are telecommuting to share the usage and monthly cost of a single festival parking space in the Snohomish County parking garage. The Facilities & Fleet department proposes, and the County Executive’s Office recommends, amending the current parking rate structure to include the shared monthly cost of an employee festival parking space. The current cost of an employee festival parking space is $70 per month; the shared parking rate is proposed at $35 per month per employee for a total of $70 per month. No other changes to the parking rates are proposed at this time. Any changes to the parking rates require approval by the County Council by Motion.
