body
DEPARTMENT: DCNR/Surface Water Management
ORIGINATOR: Mike Rustay/Connie Price
EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved by Lacey Harper 9/19/25
PURPOSE: To authorize the County Executive to Execute a new 5-year Interlocal Agreement between Snohomish County and French Slough Flood Control District
BACKGROUND: Since 2007, Snohomish County and French Slough Flood Control District have entered into interlocal agreements to partially offset the costs the District has incurred in accommodating the drainage originating from upland development through their pump station. This is a new 5-year agreement under which the County shall reimburse the District for costs incurred each calendar year 2026 through 2030. Each year, the current Consumer Price Index will be used to determine the actual total reimbursement by the County. The amounts shown below have been calculated on the assumption of an average CPI of 3%. This agreement requires multiple signatures by the District and will be presented for signature in ink if the Motion is passed.
