EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved by Ken Klein 12/12/25
PURPOSE: Authorizing the County Executive to Approve the Classification Plan and Salary Schedule for Prosecuting Attorney Career Retention System and Implementing Compensation Increases as Authorized in the 2025-2026 Biennial Budget for Unrepresented Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys.
BACKGROUND: The AFSCME 1811-PA collective bargaining agreement covers the Criminal and Family Support Deputies in the Prosecuting Attorney's Office and is effective from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027. This agreement provides for a 2.72% increase in pay effective January 1, 2026 for represented employees under this agreement. This motion affords the same increases in pay in 2026 to currently employed non-represented regular and temporary Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys under the Prosecuting Attorney Career Retentions System Classification Plan and Salary Schedule. Authority for the aforementioned pay increase is based upon Amended Ordinance 24-083, the 2025 - 2026 biennium budget.
