PURPOSE: To recommend the re-appointment of Kathie Davis to the Developmental Disabilities Citizen Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The Developmental Disabilities Citizen Advisory Board is comprised of citizens who serve in an advisory capacity to the Developmental Disability staff of the Snohomish County Human Services Department. The Board meets monthly, and is comprised of up to 15 members, drawing from all areas of the county and a range of backgrounds, including family members, individuals with developmental disabilities, professionals, and advocates.
• Kathie Davis, resides in Council District 3, and has worked in a variety of positions supporting students, staff, and families since 1995.
• Kathie currently works as the behavioral interventionalist for the Edmonds School District
• Kathie Davis is a parent of an adult with a developmental disability, and she co-authored a curriculum for social skills for children experiencing autism
• Kathie Davis is not a member of any other County board or commission
• Kathie Davis is recommended for an additional three-year term upon her 2nd re-appointment
