PURPOSE: Approval of this Right-of-Way (ROW) plan will allow the ROW acquisition phase for the S Machias / Dubuque Rd Intersection Improvements project.
BACKGROUND: The S Machias / Dubuque Rd Intersection Improvements project is listed as item D.64 in the 2025 Annual Construction Plan. The County proposes to construct a roundabout at this intersection to improve safety and traffic flow. Property from two parcels is to be acquired for this project. The Right-of-Way acquisition process is scheduled to occur in 2025 and 2026. The project is in Council District #5. Funding has been secured through a $4.3 million Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant.
