PURPOSE: Council approval of a new form License Agreement to increase the hourly license fee from $85.00 per hour to $100.00 per hour for public agencies to use the Sheriff's Gun Range Facility located at 8915 Cathcart Way in Snohomish, Washington, and to authorize the Snohomish County Sheriff signature authority to sign all License Agreements with said public agencies on behalf of Snohomish County.
BACKGROUND: On July 29, 2015 Snohomish County Council approved Motion No. 15-269 authorizing a form License Agreement to allow public agencies use of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Gun Range Facility located at 8915 Cathcart Way, Snohomish, WA 98296 (the "Facility") for training purposes. The Sheriff's Office is requesting a new form License Agreement for the purposes of increasing the hourly license fee charged to public agencies for use of the Facility from $85.00 per hour to $100.00 per hour to cover the current costs incurred by the Sheriff's Office to operate the Facility. The new form License Agreement will allow the County to continue to charge an hourly overtime fee to the Licensee for overtime hourly pay, when the Facility is used outside of normal business hours, to be calculated by the County. The Sheriff's Office will not be authorized to make any changes to the new form License Agreement. All public agencies using the Facility will be required to provide proof of insurance prior using the Facility. The Sheriff's Office shall provide Property Management with a copy of all License Agreements executed for use of the Facility.
