PURPOSE: Council's approval to authorize the Executive to sign an agreement with R&N Systems Design LLC to provide security system upgrade design for the county jail facilities.
BACKGROUND: The Facilities and Fleet department has identified a need to upgrade the security system of the County jail facilities to improve operations by the Corrections bureau; RFQ 22-001DW was issued for security system design services in February 2022 and R&N Systems Design was selected as the highest rated firm. The term of the contract is one year from date of execution which may be extended for one additional term of 1 year at the sole discretion of the County. Amount payable under this contract is not to exceed $175,000. 2022 Budget includes $1.1 million for jail cameras and intercom planned to be funded by ARPA. ...
