PURPOSE: Obtain Executive Director’s signature on the transportation Benefit District Fee Collection Form.
BACKGROUND: • On August 12, 2026, the Snohomish County Council approved Ordinance No. 26-009 authorizing the collection of a $20.00 annual vehicle fee through the Department of Licensing (DOL). • Public Works has started the contracting process with DOL and DOL has provided various documents for our review and execution. • One such document is titled “Exhibit 1 - Transportation Benefit District Fee Collection Form”. • This document starts the six-month waiting period to collect the annual vehicle tab fee. • DOL requests this form be returned within two weeks of Council’s approval of the Ordinance which would be August 24, 2026.
