PURPOSE: Approving and Implementing Compensation Increases for Non-Represented Snohomish County Employees as Authorized in the 2024 Annual Budget
BACKGROUND: Negotiations were recently completed for the AFSCME Primary Collective Bargaining Agreement and ratified by the employee Union members. The agreement covers the time period of January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027. This agreement provides for a 4.51% increase in pay effective January 1, 2024 for represented employees covered by the AFSCME Primary. This motion affords the same 4.51% increase in pay in 2024 to currently employed non-represented regular employees and temporary employees, excluding non-represented regular and temporary Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys. Authority for the aforementioned pay increase is based upon Amended Ordinance 23-121.
